Carrie Underwood's New Album Debuted at #1

September 24, 2018

Carrie Underwood just scored her fourth #1 album. "Cry Pretty" debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, after selling 266,000 copies. It's the biggest sales week for a woman so far this year, and it's the best sales week for a country album in more than three years. That dates back to when Luke Bryan sold 345,000 copies of "Kill the Lights" in 2015.

This new accomplishment also makes Carrie only woman in history to send four country music albums to the top slot of the all-genre chart. The seven-time Grammy winner was also met with No. 1 acclaim with previous records Carnival Ride (2007), Play On (2009), and Blown Away (2012).
