Jason Aldean’s New Song Hits Close To Home: “I Don’t Do Lonely Well”

Anyone who has ever been through a painful breakup will be able to relate to Jason Aldean‘s new single, “I Don’t Do Lonely Well.” And who has not had at least one breakup that was challenging to get through! Aldean recently separated from his own wife, so I imagine he too can relate to this song about how hard it is to go ‘solo’ after having a partner…

Jason Aldean just released this audio only video, so if you have not heard this new song yet, check it our here: “I Don’t Do Lonely Well”

According to Daily News, the 36-year-old country star filed for divorce from Jessica Ussery,  his wife of 12 years and high school sweetheart on April 26. Aldean cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the break-up. And no matter the circumstances, divorce is never easy, and even harder when there are kids involved.

47th Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards - Backstage & AudienceJason recently told People magazine:

“This is a really tough time for my entire family, Jessica and I have been together since we were teenagers. We’ve been through a lot of ups and downs over the years as we grew up together as a couple. She will always be important to me because she is the mother of my children, and I know that we will both always make our daughters our number one priority.”

Songs about breaking up can help or make matters worse, depending on where your head is at after a breakup. Being the ‘dumper’ or the ‘dumpee’ matters too. Nine times out of ten, it’s easier on the one who instigates the breakup, rather than the one who feels like they have been dumped!

The one song that helped me get over a painful breakup was by the rock group Tesla, called “Love Song.” I probably listened to this song a thousand times trying to mend my broken heart!

And the song that broke my heart every time I heard it during that period of time was Randy Travis: “Diggin’ Up Bones!” This song killed me every time I heard it during my divorce, so eventually I would just off the radio if it came on, just to save my sanity!
