Blake Shelton And Friends Urge ‘Chew Tobacco Spit’ On ACM Awards Opener ‘Boys Round Here’

The Academy of Country Music Awards got off to a fun start with Blake Shelton’s latest single “Boys’ Round Here.” Hitting the stage in his signature look–blue jeans, black shirt, vest and tie with his sleeves rolled up to reveal his tattoos–Blake showed Las Vegas that a good time would be had by all.

Joining him onstage was cohost Luke Bryan, and the duo rapped along throughout the energetic track, transforming Las Vegas into a Southern honky tonk.

Mocking the fact that both don’t know “how to do the dougie” while singing about beers and girls, the boys brought the bar to the stage with some help from a few more of their friends.

Sheryl Crow appeared side stage in a gorgeous gold gown, before trio the Pistol Annies added their pristine backing vocals to the mix. Dressed in a tight black leather dress, Annies member and Blake’s wife Miranda Lambert added her own spin to the track.

But that wasn’t all. As the camera panned to the audience and a familiar electric guitar riff was heard from the crowd, Brad Paisley was found adding his signature guitar skills to the track as he walked to the stage to join his friends.

As the song came to a close and all urged to “chew tobacco, chew tobacco, chew tobacco, spit” one thing was certain: Shelton sure knows how to kick off the party.
