A little bit more about Animal Humane Society:

Animal Humane Society has five shelters in Buffalo, Coon Rapids, Golden Valley, St. Paul, and Woodbury.  We have cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, guinea pigs, mice, rats, hamsters, gerbils, and ferrets available for adoption. All animals in our care receive examinations, vaccinations and medical treatments, behavior assessments, microchipping and spaying or neutering for all cats, dogs, rabbits and ferrets prior to adoption.

In addition to adoption, we provide many other services to the public including education programs for kids, pet training, a free behavior helpline, two boarding facilities, low-cost spay/neuter through Kindest Cut, an animal-assisted therapy program, cruelty investigation and rescue through our two full-time humane agents, and pet loss services.

As a private non-profit organization, we receive no federal, state or government funding and rely totally on private donations, merchandise sales and adoption fees.

There are many ways you can help or be involved with Animal Humane Society – including adopting a pet, volunteering at one of our shelters, or making a donation to support the animals!

Our website is loaded with tons of info on services we provide and how people can get involved.
