80-year old Country legend, George Jones, was released from the hospital yesterday after almost a week of treatment for an upper respiratory infection in Nashville.

The Country Music Hall of Fame member was first hospitalized back on Thursday, March 29th.

According to CBSnews.com, a statement from Jones’ publicist, Kirt Webster, says Jones “wants to thank all his friends and fans for their prayers and well wishes over the past few days.”

The statement also says Jones will be resting at home until his next concert on April 20 in Mahnomen, Minnesota.

Jones is known for classic country hits, including “He Stopped Loving Her Today.”
